Visual Art Center will hold workshops in Katara and Al Aziziyah in August

Doha: Visual Art Center, an affiliate branch of the Ministry of Culture, is set to hold a myriad of events and technical workshops in August as part of its strenuous efforts to realize the ministry’s vision to further develop arts and nurture the Qatari visual arts movement across the country.

On Sunday, the center is set to introduce several workshops, including the two-day workshop titled “Drawing in Perspective” presented by artist Moza Al Moqbali (August 8 and 9) to familiarize participants with drawing methods. in perspective, its types and its rules.

Another workshop is due to kick off under the title “Qatar Heritage with Water Colors” on August 14, 15, 16 and 17 to introduce the fundamentals of design and planning through corrective color mixing and highlighting light and the shadow in the artwork.

The center will also organize a two-day workshop entitled “Landscape Painting” starting Monday which will be held every Monday and Thursday for a week until August 25, 2022, presented by artist Fatima Al Mannai with regard to the painting the landscape more correctly through the color mix and achieve a small painting.

In addition, Visual Art Center will present two workshops at its Al Aziziyah headquarters this month, namely “The Cubist Art School in a Pottery Sculpture”, starting Monday and lasting three days. , to introduce participants to the school of cubism and its most important pioneers and artistic methods and their application to pottery, presented by artists Hala Saleh Al Sayed and Sabah Nour El Din.
