WE ARE AT ART MUSMEU, ONE OF OUR MAIN ANCHOR LOCATIONS WITH SEVERAL SHOWS IN THE PERMANENT COLLECTION WHICH IS WONDERFUL, BUT THERE ARE LOCATIONS ALL OVER SACRAMTOEN AND OTHER BAY LOCATIONS, BECAUSE OUR REGION HAS SUCH AN EAGRT TRADITION OF CERAMIC ART AND INNOVATION. THE THEME OF THE CONFERENCE IS FERTILE GROUND. THIS APPLIES TO OUR SURROUNDING REGION AND AT A TIME WHEN OUR AGRICULTURE HAS BEEN KEY TO CALIFORNIA, BUT IT ALSO APPLIES TO THE NATURE OF TEACHING THE IDEA OF CERAMICS AND CATREIVYIT AT UNIVERSITIES AND COMMUNITY CENTERS. IT IS ALSO VERY EASILY USED FOR CREATIVE EXPRESSION, SO YOU WILL SEE VESSEL WORK OR POTTERY, BUT POTTERY HAS EMERGED FROM A MORE TRADITIONAL TO A VERY EXPERIMENTAL SIZE SO YOU COULD SEE SOMETHING WITH STRUCTURAL COMPONENTS WHICH MIGHT NOT EVEN HAVE THE CAPACITY TO HOLD WATER. YOU WILL ALSO SEE THE SCULPTURE. YOU WILL SEE THE ARCHITECTURE. YOU WILL ALSO SEE WORKS THAT ALMOST LOOK IF IT IS A PAINTING OR A WORK ON PAPER, BUT THE MATERIAL WILL BE CLAY.
